Tourettes Action Grants

Tourettes Action offer grants to improve the quality of life for people with Tourette syndrome (TS) living in the UK. We are able to offer these grants thanks to a generous donation by a TA supporter.

The Tourettes Action Grant Scheme provides practical financial support to help people with Tourette syndrome access equipment that can improve their day-to-day lives, independence and wellbeing.

Grants of up to £600 are available for equipment that supports an individual in managing the impact of Tourette syndrome.

Examples of items we have funded in the past include:

  • Musical instruments for people whose tics reduce while playing music.
  • Specialist beds for people whose tics are so severe that standard beds become damaged or unsafe.

As every individual's circumstances are different, applications are considered on a case-by-case basis.

What the Grant Cannot Fund

Please note that the TA Grant Scheme cannot provide funding for:

  • Activities or leisure pursuits
  • Holidays or travel
  • Medical treatments or therapies

If you are unsure whether the item you wish to apply for meets the eligibility criteria, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss your application.

Applying for a TA Grant

We have introduced a new online grant application form, making it quicker and easier to apply for a TA Grant.

The online form allows you to:

  • Complete your application electronically
  • Upload all required supporting documents directly through the application process
  • Submit everything in one place, without needing to send paperwork separately

Applications cannot be submitted until all required fields have been completed and all supporting documents have been uploaded. Missing information may delay the assessment of your application.

Saving Your Application

If you wish to save your progress and return to the application later, you will need a Google account.

If you do not have a Google account, the application must be completed and submitted in a single session.

Please note that partially completed applications will be saved for up to 30 days from the date of your last edit.

Grant Eligibility

Applicants who receive a grant will not be eligible to apply again for five years from the date the grant is awarded.

Need Help?

If you would like to review the application questions before completing the online form, you can request a form template by emailing help@tourettes-action.org.uk

This template allows you to see all application questions in advance, helping you gather the relevant information and supporting documents before starting your application.

If you would prefer a paper copy of the application form, require a large print version, or have any questions about the grant scheme, please contact us at help@tourettes-action.org.uk.

We are happy to help with any enquiries regarding eligibility or the application process.
